The situation we have experienced this past year from year 2020, has caused a very significant impact on many organizations, forcing many companies to reimagine the way they work, even the public sector is not left out.

Asides from a global health pandemic, a natural or manmade disaster has caused different departments in the public sector to lose important records and waste productive man power, by manually organizing documents.

At this point, the Digital Transformation of organizations is no longer an opportunity, but has become a necessity to be more productive and proactive. Hence the Kaduna State Government, a public sector organization, that caters to the need of the public service in Kaduna state, Nigeria, with 94 ministries, departments and agencies collectively, sort the need to automate their manual processes and called on SA Consulting, an enterprise technology company to help deploy an Electronic Document Management System.

The automation of the Kaduna State Government Manual process by SA Consulting, involved the use of Microsoft Power Platform tools to deploy the service. The Power Platform tools includes:

  • PowerApps: which allows you to create business applications in a fast and agile way.
  • Power Automate: which makes it easy to create automated workflows to process your organization’s information.
  • Power BI: which helps organizations collect information from their different information systems and display them in an aggregated way, allowing them to visualize the state of the business and hence make well-informed decisions.

These have helped to minimize repetitive work, organize data and documents digitally, locate information and processes, harmonize internal processes and streamline monitoring / assigning of tasks.  The Kaduna state government ICT Administrator; Hauwa Abbas, in her feedback, said: “Signal Alliance has helped us build a working Electronic Document System and they continue to remain our Microsoft License partner”. www.Kdsg.gov.ng
